Snowboarding

Continuing with our cold weather (high of 5 today?!?), I thought this card would be fitting. The trees are from the stamp set, Lovely as a Tree and are stamped in craft white. I then tore some white paper, added two way glue and then dazzling diamonds glitter for sparkling snow. The snowboarder is an individual stamp, Extreme Snowboard, and I inked it with black staz-on ink.

Once again, thanks for stopping in and stay warm!

Snowman

I thought this card would be appropriate today since the temperature was -24 when we woke up this morning! Oh, the joy of living in MN:)
The snowman is made by punching circles with the 2 1/2", 1 3/4" and 1 1/4" punches. Then sponge the edges with marina mist ink and raise the circles by using dimensionals. The eyes are two black brads, the nose is made by using the star punch and the arms are punched from the snowflake punch. I tore the card stock, sponged it in marina mist ink, put some 2 way glue on the torn part so that dazzling diamond glitter would adhere to it. We made this card at my stamp clubs and the ladies really liked it!

Teacher's Gift

These are some cards that I made for Noah's teacher for Christmas. They use the same layout as the Valentine's Day card I posted a couple of days ago. I used the Tasteful Trim die in the Big Shot (this die is carried over, so it can still be ordered) for the scallop on the Elegant Soiree designer paper. The sentiments are from a retired SU set. And, of course, I added a few pearls on each of the cards. I *love* the pearls and rhinestones. They just "make" the card. I often wonder what I did before we had them?!?

Valentine's Candy Bouquet

Remember my sunflower "bouquet" with the sweet treat cups? I decided to make some Valentine bouquets as well with the sweet treat cups and Sweet Centers stamp set. I had some people interested in learning how to make these, so these will be a project that will be made at my Valentine's Day class.

This one has chocolate covered raisins as the center and red m&m's in the "vase". I noticed after I took this picture that some of my candy was missing from the vase....hmm, could it have been my kids (and to pinpoint it even more, Carter) sneaking some?!?

This one has red m&m's as the center and chocolate covered raisins in the bottom (and once again, there are some missing!)

This is the backside of the heart.

Valentine's

I saw this layout on a stamping blog and knew that I had to try it out. I actually made a set of cards with this layout for Noah's teacher and thought it would work with the By Definition stamp set, too. This is a card that will be made at my Valentine's Day class (date to be determined after I get the kids basketball schedules). If you click on this picture, you may be able to see the red heart better as it is punched out of the glitter red card stock that is in the Occasions mini catalog.

Christmas Hayride

No stamping today, but I wanted to share with you some pictures of our Christmas at my parents. We have a tradition on Saturday we have a hayride and go to my family's hunting shack. We stop along the way at a big hill that the kids (and the kids at heart!) slide down. Once we are at the shack (and yes, it truly is a shack, but has heat!), we roast hot dogs and brats over a fire and make hamburgers on the stove. We top off our meal by roasting marshmallows and making smores. It is a lot of fun and the activity that is always at the top of my kids list as their favorite. As you can see from the pictures, there are MANY people in my family, as some are walking and not in the picture and my parents drive out in a truck. Maybe these pictures will turn into a digital scrapbook page?!?

My First Digital Scrapbook Page!

I got My Digital Scrapbooking as a Christmas present. Here is my first creation. I was just playing around with it and experimenting with all the different items on it, so I'm not sure if I'll get this printed, but wanted to show you:). It is SO fun. This page is an 81/2 x 11.

Would you like to see a demo on Digital Scrapbooking? Let me know by leaving a comment below or emailing me. I need to play around with it more, but would love to show you!

More Cupcakes

Here's another card with the Create a Cupcake stamp set. The first picture is a close up of the cupcake image to showcase the glittered cherry that was punched out of the red glittered card stock in the mini catalog.
This is a picture of the card I created for a swap I was in. The pretty in pink wide striped ribbon was cut in half and then adhered to sticky strip to "ruffle" it. The crumb cake card stock is distressed around the edges. This card is very similar to the one above except for the placement of the sentiment. I originally created this card for the swap, but decided to make a few minor changes.
For those of you wondering, I am working on upcoming classes. I just need a little more time!:)

New Mini Catalog!

The new Spring mini catalog went "live" yesterday, so you can now order from it! Here is a card that I made for a swap with the new cupcake stamp set and matching punch. This is such a cute set and with a punch to match, how can you go wrong?!?! I took a close up of the cupcake to show the melon mambo pom pom trim that is also found in the mini. Fun, new things!

Ric Rac Happy Birthday

Happy New Year!

The base of this card is rose red with the sweet & sour specialty paper on top. I cut vanilla felt using the trims border for the big shot. I love that I can make my own ric rac with this die and in different materials! The felt flower is retired from SU and has a rhinestone in the middle. I tied linen thread on the side of the label punch. Simple card, but bright and cheery:)

Thanks for stopping by.
